It is a unique device giving you almost total control over complex combinations of effects and amp channel switching. With it, you can activate pre-programmed signal paths through a series of effects with a single stomp. Unlike other devices, the WOBO PROG LOOPER uses relays instead of switches. Most switch based bypass and routing devices use components that are simply NOT DESIGNED for switching audio signals. The relays used in the WOBO unit have been specially designed for switching high-quality audio signals so that there is absolutely no impact on your sound.Using the WOBO PROGLOOPER, it is possible to connect four effects or sets of effects (i.e., four loops called A, B, C and D). The loops are divided into two sections each having an input and output, the first section has loop A and the second has loops B, C and D as shown in the diagram below. With this configuration, you can have one effect (or set of effects) before the amp and the remaining three effects (or sets of effects) in the amp effects loop. Or if you prefer, you can cascade the effects loops together by leaving the output of the first section and input of the second unplugged or using another effect between sections (e.g., a volume pedal).There is also a channel socket which is designed to replace the amp’s channel footswitch. In this way, the channel switching function can also be controlled by the WOBO PROGLOOPER. Alternatively, this can be used to control another separate looper.The WOBO PROGLOOPER can be used to activate six combinations of effects (or sets of effects). Program stomp switches are used to activate one of the six presets (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6). Pressing the “0” switch ALWAYS switches the unit to Bypass Mode (i.e., all effects are bypassed). All programs can include any combination of four effects (or sets of effects) and/or amp channel switching. Every footswitch has also a mode DIP switch for choosing the preset footswitch work mode. In the NORMAL mode (mode DIP switch set to on), pressing the program switch turns off the previous combination. In the ADD-ON mode (mode DIP switch set to off) pressing the program switch does not turn off the previously activated program. Instead, it adds an additional effect combination to the existing active combination. In ADD mode the actions of the activated switch in NORMAL mode is unaffected. LED’s near the switches show the program activated. LED’s near the sockets show which loops are activated in the program used at the time. Programming is very simple to do using DIP Switches placed on the top face of the controller (small block of 5, for each program – loops A, B, C, D and amp channel switching). There are no processors or Flash memory so your settings cannot be lost.Notice: Due to the high power consumption by the relays (approx. 240mA), it cannot be battery powered. Price Paid: US $250 Ease of Use: 10This unit is very easy to use. You just have to select using the swithches which pedals do you want to use on which programs. As simple as that. Sound Quality: 10This product don't steel your signal at all. I tested using my computer and the sound of my guitar with or without it was practically the same. The truebypass really works. The only thing that is not 100% in this unit is the little noise that you listen when you step on one program. It's not loud, so it's not a real problem (I was able to record with this equipment). The noise sounds like a ground loop, so I have to say that I'm using ac (onespot ac) on the pedals not batteries. I used to have the GCX ground control to command my pedals. It was pretty good, but was also expensive,very heavy and took me a lot of space. Now, with the Proglooper, I'm able to command my pedals in the same way and my pedalboard is ligther, smaller and cheaper. I'm very happy with this unit. I refered to thier website. They have a diagram to follow. It's easy. Sound Quality: 10This is basically a mini patchbay and switching system all in one. It measures 11 1/2 in. by 5 1/2 in. by 2 in. approx. It goes on your pedalboard and allows you to loop your pedals and channel switch your amp. You can program up to six switches. With this thing you don't have to step on three or four pedals to change your sound. One stomp will do it. It's all true bypass and doesn't effect your tone at all. It doesn't mess with your volume either. It's dead quiet. This is a professional unit designed for live playing situations. When you have to get from one sound to another without hesitation. My big thing was to get from a clean chorus on my JCM 900 to a crunch on the hi gain channel pushed by a tubescreamer. Just that took three stomps. I have ran the midi and rack stuff before to do this, but it was to much gear for me personally. I'll take a few great pedals and keep it simple anyday. The prog looper eliminates the tap dance.
