Description
Up for your consideration is this American D22 vintage dynamic microphone.  It has a wonderful modernistic form.  According to Jim Webb's poster these come from the mid 1940s but were likely used into the 50s and beyond.  The base which appears to be black is actually a very dark violet or purple.  The shaft and business end are gold in color.  I tested this microphone using my alligator clips and Ampeg Jet 2 amp.  I got clear sound with good gain.  The microphone has an XLR connection.  I clipped the alligators to two of the pins and that is how I determined that it works and sounds good.  The microphone appears to have been taken care of.  It has light scratches and and some wear but overall it presents nicely.  It does not come with the piece that allows it to be mounted on a stand.  I am sure you could find a suitable way to get it mounted on a stand without that piece, but I just wanted to give full disclosure.  Coming with the original felt lined box, this could be a wonderful holiday gift. Please email before bidding if you have any questions.
