The M20 is the top of the line of the ADAT family of tape-based recorders with its professional use, heavy duty, advanced direct-drive transport. These units have been well cared for, are lightly used and in very good condition. M20 #1 s/n 3D7002253 has 549 head hours. It's only noticeable flaws are minor: One of the fluorescent readout segments (character no. 15, see photo 3) is out, though the information remains quite easily readable, and on the rear panel one of the four rubber bumper standoffs is missing. Heck, this unit still has the removable protective film on the screen displays! M20 #2 s/n 3D7001894 head hours are 1314. This machine is in excellent condition save for the most minor of scratches and its Utility button, which sticks intermittently but works properly otherwise. Each M20 is software version 2.15 and is fully functional with transports running strong and smooth. Complete accessory packs are included with each M20 and contain the AC cable, optical cable, genuine Alesis brand sync cable, LRC remote control, AMPEX 489 S-120 tape (new, unopened), front rail rack mount kit as well as rear rail support flanges and full owner's manual in an M20 binder, just as you would expect to receive if purchasing a brand new unit! In fact the cartons even look near new with factory internal packaging.The CADI (controller, autolocator, desktop interface) is also complete with the factory supplied RJ-45 cable, AC cable and full manual in a binder. The condition is excellent with a clean display and all functions operating properly. The CADI duplicates (and then some) the front panel of the M20 with full sets of controls and indicators, a numeric keypad, illuminated record enable buttons and indicators (64 of them), Aux/TC track enable (8), track status, machine status, editing buttons, a superb, easy to view vacuum fluorescent display, and M20s jog/shuttle wheel. CADI can be operated at distances up to hundreds of feet from the recorders and still offer flawless control of the unit's transport and track arming functions. The CADI can directly control up to eight M20s right from its front panel, for a total of 64 tracks (plus time code and eight Aux tracks!). Individual M20s may be taken offline from the remote, and individual indicators show when all machines in a system are in sample-accurate sync.
