' Description This auction is for a beautiful 15 1/2" VIOLA.  It is 26" long.  It has been professionally set up and well maintained.  It presently has Helicores on it with a mute.  The strings are about 3 months old.  (Personally I preferred the Obligatos and Gut strings But I thought I would try Helicores when I changed strings)  There are no cracks.  This viola is beautiful and has a rich deep sound and lots of volume.  It has a 2-piece back and the wood grain is very nice on all sides.  This viola has been played for about 10 years.  It has no label.  It actually fell off many years ago and I cannot recall what brand it was.  If anyone out there has any idea what brand it  might be let me know.  It might help jog my memory. This is not a cheap Chinese viola!!!!!!!  As you can see by the price and the quality, this is an advanced instrument.  The Luthier in Jacksonville Florida told me to sell it for $1000. Everyone who has heard me play this viola has commented to me on how nice it sounds.  I have played this viola in several orchestras as well as many local events.  I have used a Fishman pickup on it in my church and it even has a beautiful sound amplified.  I am including a case ( which is a $100 case in the picture) and a Glasser bow. Sorry but I cannot include my $300 case or my $400 bow.  If you are an advanced player you may want to buy a more expensive case to protect your investment and a new bow.  I am selling this viola because I finally purchased my dream professional viola which is a 16".  I keeping my old case and bow.
