The fiddle plays and sounds wonderfully. The interior has an old sticker that says "Andreas Amati fecit Cremonae anno 1633". There is no place of origin listed on the sticker as there are with fiddles imported later into the country. The fiddle is in great shape. There is one hairline crack on the front by the left side f-hole that was repaired years ago. No other damage noted. Also, included is a lined, hard shell case and bow.
