This is another factor contributing to the flute’s accurate intonation and tonal clarity.  The pitch is A = 442, and has the modern flute scale. The embouchure plate and headjoint are sculpted out of a single piece of aged African Grenadilla for a genuine, open resonance. It has a Bulb design headjoint (very rare for an Alto) to produce an even more powerful sound. The surface of the embouchure is highly comfortable and provides confident control.  Silver tenons fit the headjoint into the body, and foot into the body - just as with a Silver flute. This adds a center to the sound as well as reduces weight.
