Born in 1904, Natale was a pupil of his father Carlo Carletti. Natale was also an accomplished cellist. In 1941 (when his father passed away) Natale Carletti took over the father's shop. In 1949 he has won a gold medal at Cremona competition.  This wonderful viola is labeled with Carlo Carletti original label, signed by Natale Carletti, also it is signed and dated inside on the table. This is one of most interesting instruments of the maker. It was definitely made with Carlo Carletti influence. The model and varnish, scroll and many other details are very close to the father's work. The instrument is in very fine condition. It is a very powerful solo instrument with a sound of remarkable quality. The length over the back is 42.0 cm.
