Obviously, he took very good care of his drums. I purchased 2 drum sets from him & both were in excellent condition for their vintage. The sizes are 8x12, 16x16 & 14x22 - as far as I can tell, every piece of hardware on these drums is original right down to the tension rods & washers. Original batter bass drum head, original resonant-side rack tom head & the rest are replacements.No snares or extra 8x12 included in this auction. Just the (3) drums. The other drums may be available in other auctions later.Things to note: Slight seam-lift on floor tom (see picture 7), no cymbal arm, just the complete mount (please see pic 8). For their age, the bass drum hoops are in excellent condition - far better than just about any drums from this period. They could use some touch-up, but the factory-finish is in very nice shape.Shells/Interior/Paper Tag things to note: 8x12 has flay gray paint, Cleveland Serial # 61723. 16x16 has speckled paint, Dayton Serial #93685, 14x22 has flat gray paint, Dayton Serial # 78432. I asked the previous owner & told me this is how he purchased them when new. I obviously do not know. What I do know is that they all look like they have been together since they were born. These are beautiful drums that have a perfect uniformity to them.In my humble opinion, I believe these drums could be collector-quality in the right hands.
