This neck is just that... Here we have an original Pre CBS Fender, Clay Dot, Slab Board, neck It is an original clay dot neck from 1960. It would be correct for a Fender P or a J bass Since the first year Jazz basses had the big fat necks like a P Basses before Fender knew exactly what they were going to do with the all new Jazz Bass upon it's arrival on the Music Scene in 1960. The neck has been professionally stripped and has the white under coat replaced since it was originally a painted head stock from the factory. It once belonged to a famous rock group in the City of Detroit But is NOT being sold for that reason...( as a rock icon) But that being said, PRE CBS bass necks are getting tough to find.They are an icon all their own... This one has it's original frets yet the truss rod works fine and has  a beautiful rosewood  slab as well as  all original clay dots.. There is NO FUNNY BUISNESS HERE!  I was lucky enough to grab a 100% ORIGINAL 63 P to playas my main bass.  So I will not longer be needing this one for a project I was planning on building...Get it while you can U S A Sales only.
