Description
Here's your Chance to bid on a Fender Rhodes Mark V electric piano, the ultimate Rhodes ever. This piano is in the same condition from when I bought it 10 years ago, and has had very little use outside of my studio. It has always been maintained and works perfectly. It features an all plastic body, which is the lightest Rhodes at 100 lbs. It originally came with a fold out stand which is different from the chrome legs that came with other models. This doesn't come with an original stand, but it does have the sustain pedal and its adjustable post. It doesn't appear to have been gigged with that much, but it does have its' share of scuffs and scratches, but its' overall condition is very good for being 23 years old. The serial number printed on the pickup shows that it was made the 33rd week of 1984. These numbers show the week the pickup rail was completed, which was normally 1 to 4 months before the piano was finished. Two of the lid latches were replaced with SKB type twist closing latches. The interior of the instrument is in pristine condition. Two keys (see pics) have cigarette burns, but the keys work just fine. I would grade the sound board to be in excellent condition, because it has very little oxidation of the tines, tone bars, and pickups. Anyone who has worked on these, knows that Rhodes pianos usually have some oxidization on the metal parts. This one was probably stored in a very dry area, and shows no signs of high humidity exposure to the interior. There is not much more to say this except that this is the best Rhodes for sound and feel. This is a very large item (100 lbs.+) and it should be crated, so shipping is not going to be cheap. If you want it double boxed to save money, you will take full responsibility for the item if it is damaged in shipping. Please feel free to ask any questions before bidding, but DO NOT ask to end the auction early, or what my reserve is. I DO NOT want to ship this internationally. Buyer must pay within seven days of auction. If you cannot do this, please don't bid. Good Luck and Happy Bidding.
