Calicchio, model 1S7 ML bore lead trumpet in fantastic playing condition!! This wonderful vintage trumpet was recently goldplated at Anderson(where all the Bach Stradivarius trumpets are professionally plated). Also, Anderson completely replated/refitted the valves. The total price at Anderson for the gold plating and valve work was over $900, less than 2 years ago. Since then, this superb Calicchio has barely been played. So, this vintage newly gold-plated Calicchio trumpet, plays incredibly, just like when it left the Calicchio factory back in 1980!!  As you probably know, Calicchio trumpets have been the choice of L.A. studio musicians for many years, and can be heard on hundreds of movie film soundtracks!! We are selling this very fine trumpet for a great friend, who is a top pro from the Indianapolis/Chicago area, who has toured with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, Andy Williams, the O'Jays, Guy Lombardo, Russ Morgan Orchestra, and numerous other bands/shows.  Anyway, this 1980 L.A. Calicchio is in outstanding shape for it's age. The newer gold plating from Anderson looks absolutely fantastic. There are a few super tiny dings, but no major dents and no repair history what so ever. The early 1980's Calicchio trumpets are considered by many to be some of the greatest lead/jazz trumpets ever made. Maybe that's why some many incredible players in Las Veges and Los Angeles played them!!  No case included, but we will pack this fine trumpet super securely.
