Description
1970's Ludwig Supra 14 x 5.5 in Excellent Condition Ok, we already know the SupraPhonic is the most recorded drum in history and we all know why... This is the swiss army knife of any percussionists snare arsenal. You just can't go wrong with the crisp clean sound of the Supra! For years it has been a must have piece of gear for anything from gigging to recording sessions. I recently picked this drum up and gave it a quick once over cleaning wise. As you can see from the photos it is in amazing condition with only very light flaking, most of which is under the rim of the drum head. On the inside the Anti-Galvanic coating stamp(s) are still perfectly legible and the drum is completely original with the exception of the snare wires and I'd say the batter head. The snare head is the clear Weather King so I'm guessing it's been on there since day 1. Serial Number 1106408 dates this one to around 1976ish. She's been lovingly maintained or just not played often enough and needs a good home. I'm not sure what it is about vintage gear but it just always seems to have that extra little mojo that makes it so much fun to own and play. As always, please feel free to ask any questions you have before bidding. Most of the Luddy's I've sold have gone overseas and I WILL ship internationally at the buyers expense. Please don't ask me to lie on your customs form, I put the correct value to protect both you and myself. G'luck! -Tim McKenziehttp://www.mckenziedrums.com
