The back of the neck is worn and oiled with linseed oil and feels amazing. When I purchased the bass 20 years ago in Manhattan from a musician/artist, it had a great bridge that is on the bass... There isa vintage bridge in the case but it needs the screws on the saddles. The neck is in great condition and the bass sounds vintage and spectacular. All the tuning pegs are in great working condition and stays in tune. I was told that this is a 1969 by a dealer by giving the serial #. I do not have a authenticity letter.A couple of more facts:It does have new frets on the neck. New pick guard.Does not have the original chrome pick up cover and bridge cover. They can be purchased through an authorized dealer. I was told that the pickups are original by the original owner 20 years ago...
