I am selling this for a friend, who has provided me the information on it below. It is in excellent condition with no cracks or loose seams, as far as I can see. Very nice violin outfit, dated 1965, with two bows, case, chinrest- all that you see in the photos. Please inquire if you have further questions.The Story:In December, 1996, Armin Barnett (Seattle violin maker; contact info below) sold this fiddle (along with a student bow and the fiddle case) to Mark Simos via Bob Childs (Cambridge, MA, violin maker) for $1865.00 (Copy of the original receipt is in outer pocket of violin case.)I had Bob put a higher quality chinrest on the instrument (I don’t have the receipt for that; I think it may have been around $100). Robin gave me the second bow, which is one she repaired; she may be able to give you info about it.
