Description
DO NOT USE THE EBAY CHECKOUT PROCEDURE Pro Audio DJ Rentals, Sales & Service 1965 1966 GIBSON SG STANDARD - CLEAN AND ORIGINAL Item for sale is a very clean 1965/66 Gibson SG Standard - serial number indicates 1966 production but it has to be an early unit made with left over 1965 parts. Clean and very well kept, it has been inspected by a vintage guitar technician and his appraisal is included. NO NECK OR HEEL BREAKS OR REPAIRS. PERIOD. Finish has the normal checking on the front, rear has worming and buckle wear, there are a few dings and such from 40 years of use, nothing excessive. Guitar is extremely original and has not been butchered or cobbled back together from random parts. Thin 60's style neck is super playable and comfortable. Nut is 1 and 11/16ths. Pots are CTS and dated to 1966, it has the small pickguard and a light weight of 6.6 lbs - Neck has light wear on the rear and some corresponding fret wear, its about right for light play over the years, no refret has been done. Original Pat sticker pickups are there and look untouched. Gibson ABR 2 original bridge is there. Maestro vibrola is there , non original trem arm is included. Widegrain of Rosewood board looks Brazilian to several vintage collectors I showed it to, you be the judge if its Brazillian or Indian. Original pots and wiring look untouched. One capacitor on the tone knob is shorted, we left it intact to keep it original. One Tone Control functions as volume until that piece is replaced, or left alone for collectibility. We are not vintage dealers with 20 years of experience but we are honest and have made every attempt to have this guitar checked out and listed correctly. Please ask questions before bidding I will try and answer them in a timely manner. Guaranteed to be as described. I accept money orders, checks, credit cards online, and bank wire transfers. Payment is due within 10 days of close of auction, if you require more time you must email, otherwise we have to assume you are a non paying bidder. Payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Money Order, Cashiers Check Q: Why don't you accept bids from bidders with less than five feedbacks? A: Ebay is pretty expensive for sellers, and free for buyers. On a $600 auction, the non-refundable seller fees are around $11 each time someone bids and doesn't pay. Most of my non payers are new accounts and ebay won't let me block them. I will gladly accept bids from new users if you will take the time to email first to verify your information. Thanks Q: Why don't you accept PayPal? A: It is true they are convenient and owned/promoted by Ebay. Unfortunately they are a middle man, so if there is a problem you are not dealing with your credit card company directly. I have an online merchant credit card account making the transaction safer for the seller and the buyer. Payment is due within 10 business days, NO PAYPAL.
