Description
Hi everyone.  I am selling a couple of my guitars on consignment out of my personal collection.  Anyway, this is my 1964 Gibson ES-335.  It is 100% original and is a tone monster.   The factory Custom Made plaque covers two factory stud holes, so this can be converted to stop tail if desired.  The Bigsby is original and has never been removed. the post-paf patent number pickups are my personal favorites.  These, too, are original to the guitar. The frets are original and in fine shape.  Guitar looks, sounds and plays great. No repairs, breaks or changed parts anywhere. Tuners are original, parts are nickle, and nut width is, of course, 1 11/16." This is a great vintage ES-335 and gig ready. Ok. These are my personal guitars. I have had my pick of the best.  All sales are final. Of course, I want you to enjoy your guitar.  I know it's a down market, but people are still asking upwards of $20,000 for these.  This is being offered at a reasonable price. Please call uis Tuesday-Saturday 11-5 at the store if you have any questions.  I am using the store for the convenience of all involved. You may use your credit card through the store to purchase this guitar.  I will also have the guitar professionally packed and shipped by the top guy at Hoboken Vintage so you get your guitar safely and in one piece.   Overseas bidders: here's the deal. You MAY bid.  However, you must follow the rules of my auction. Please do NOT ask me to adjust the price so you can avoid paying import/VAT taxes.  I will NOT break the law.  Do not even think of asking me to declare a $20000 guitar for $600. No exceptions. Also, you will pay actual shipping prices via UPS ONLY. It's expensive, around $300 because of rising fuel costs. I DO NOT ship United States Postal service. They have lost our last guitar.  I insure our guitars for full price, to protect both of us if the guitar is lost or broken in transit.  We love our Europeon customers, but please don't ask us to break the law.  With the U.S. dollar at 1.55/Euro, you're getting a deal already. Thank you. Hoboken Vintage 201-222-8977   We often get asked: Why are shipping costs so high? Well, first of all, we want you to get your guitar in one piece. So we use NEW boxes ($10 each) and new packing peanuts and bubblewrap. I also have an employee who packs guitars and amps like the pro that he is. Also, fuel prices have gone up alot, and UPS has passed this cost on to us. I insure my guitars, and I will send this one via 3 day select service, On Jul-10-08 at 09:45:01 PDT, seller added the following information:OK. Thanks to everyone who has watched my auction.  I have received three insulting lowball offers and two downright nasty e-mails from people who have told me that my guitar is worth no more than $8500.  Also, a gentleman who called me up with an offer of $9000 and hung up abruptly with a "good luck, pal."  So, it is no longer for sale. I apologize to all the kind people who have watched this auction hoping to bid and to the fine people who offered me generous trades.   I have decided to keep the instrument.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.
