Description
This is a 1962 Gibson SG Les Paul Standard, serial number 50096, in excellent original condition. The guitar features its original decal Patent Numbered Humbucking pickups, ABR-1 Tun-o-matic bridge, side-to-side tailpiece, and original Kluson Deluxe tuners. This guitar has been professionally re-fretted and plays and sounds great. As you can see, the original cherry red finish is in exceptionally nice condition, with only a minimum of nicks or dings. The neck-to-body joint has never been cracked or repaired, and the neck angle-to-body is excellent, (the Tun-o-matic bridge sits nicely off the body, and the string angle down to the vibrato is the proper angle). The solder joints are un-tampered, the pots and wiring harness are fully original. This guitar has just one issue: there has been a well-repaired minor headstock crack on the back side of the headstock, as it can barely be seen in the close-up. It is half-moon shaped just below the 6th string tuner on the bass side of the neck opposite the string nut, and is only noticeable under a bright light scrutiny. Its workmanship is guaranteed to be the best there is. These guitars are selling for $20K and up, so we feel our lower price makes this particular guitar a real value, allowing someone an exceptionally nice clean example of a rare vintage Gibson. The guitar comes in its original black alligator-textured Gibson hardshell case, which is also in nice condition. We offer a 48-hour approval period with money-back guarantee, excluding shipping costs, so feel free to bid with confidence. We gladly accept PayPal from domestic buyers in the USA, but we do not accept PayPal from overseas buyers on high value instruments. Payment must be a certified bank draft (wait 3 – 4 weeks to clear our U.S. account), or a bank wire transfer (fastest to process), if you are a foreign buyer and the winning bidder. Any buyers with '0' feedback please contact us before bidding, or your bids may be rejected. We will not end this auction early, so please don't ask us to. There is no reserve price. Now, lets all enjoy bidding!
