Description 1938 Keefer Trumpet Completely Restore - Jerome Callet * Great Player *   This is a vintage 1938 Keefer trumpet that has been refurbished for Jerome Callet by Pettifore's Inc.  Mr. Callet has consigned this trumpet with us as he is selling off the horns that he has been using over the past few years.  He says in part on his website for his new trumpet - see here  --> the Callet Sima I spent the last 5 years buying, testing, and tearing apart over 75 of the finest trumpets ever created: vintage Bachs, Martins, Conns, Kings, Bessons, Benges, Rudy Mucks, Blessings, Reynolds, Yorks, Calicchios, Olds, etc.  My decades of machining mouthpieces, building custom trumpets, and teaching world class professionals taught me to HEAR a great trumpet. My careful calculations of the minute details of the real gems taught me the secrets of the greatest trumpets ever made. And this is one of those special trumpets he has had refurbished and played these past few years.  The horn was completely restored by Pettifore's Inc. and the valves were replated and fitted by Anderson Plating Company -- superb quality in workmanship by two highly renown companies.  There is little else to say except that Mr. Callet says, "...for a small bore this trumpet is very easy to blow..." We saw many design features in this trumpet also found in the Blessing Super Artist trumpet.  Note the reversed 3rd slide stop on top and finger ring on the bottom.
