It was refinished in gloss black polyester, the sound board repaired and new strings were installed in 2002. The finish is nice except for some chips on the legs. The action rebuild has just been completed by San Francisco technician Phil Ford. He used new Abel Select hammers, new Renner shanks and flanges and rebuilt the Renner Schwander style whippens. He then touchweight smoothed the action for high responsiveness, even feel and high feedback. This is truly a player's piano. It even features nice ivory keys.
