The music came from a satchel that belonged to his great-great grandmother, who was originally from Belgium. As the story goes, she met an Englishman during World War One, and they returned to England after the war and were married. The satchel had been stored in an attic since the 1960s, and all the music is from WWI or earlier. The majority of the songsheets were published in Belgium, with a couple from Paris and London. You have to see some of these other sheets: there are military pieces, national hymns, historical stuff - an amazing discovery! This piece is complete and in good condition with taped spine, slight foxing and edge tears.
