1898 Model A Steinway This 1898 satin ebony Steinway Model A has just been completely restored! The original soundboard has been shimmed, in order to preserve the original tonal character and integrity of the wood. The cabinet has been refinished in a traditional, satin ebony lacquer finish. There is a new Renner action with top- quality Abel "blue" hammers; new damper felts, strings, tuning pins, pinblock; and a newly refinished plate and hardware. All of this with the straightforward elegance of a conservatory- style case with spade legs.
