The sheet music itself is in very good condition, although the front page has become separated from the other pages of the music. This is a descriptive piano composition by Jeanette Forrest. It is programmatic in nature, and tells the story of the Titanic as the events unfolded, in various small movements strung seamlessly together with such titles as "All Aboard" and "The Voyage Begins". The last two movements of the piece consists of a four part choral arrangement with words in a hymn-like style and the last page of the composition is dramatic embellishments on the piano, as the fate of that tragic night comes to a close with the ship plunging into the depths of the sea.
