Description Item Description Up for sale is a 2004 GIBSON CUSTOM SHOP HISTORIC COLLECTION LES PAUL STANDARD 1958 RE-ISSUE MODEL (serial #: 9 40xx) finished in washed cherry sunburst (I believe that’s the official name for the color.) This isn’t your everyday LPR8. It’s got the body top made of ONE BIG PIECE of EASTERN HARD ROCK MAPLE!!! The mild figures scattered through the entire top are like clouds in the sky and they flicker. This is truly a piece a LP collector would be very happy to possess. Again, this is a VERY RARE LES PAUL with 1pc HRM TOP!! The guitar is 100% ORIGINAL and in near mint condition. There really is no cosmetic flaw to note except for the two little indentations on the back of the body. The red dye has bled onto the bottom binding probably due to the guitar stand, but that’s it. The gloss finish is very shiny and beautiful. The guitar was hardly used in its 3+ years of life and therefore there is no sign of play anywhere on the guitar. The fretwires are 100% intact. The weight is 9.1 lbs. Will be shipped in the original Custom Shop hardshell case in excellent condition. Comes with the COA and the other stuff pictured. I tried my best to describe this guitar from the viewpoint of originality, and functional and cosmetic conditions as accurate as possible.
