Description
This auction is for a very hard to find 18" K Zildjian Istanbul Cymbal. This cymbal is a awesome sounding crash/ ride type weighing in at only 1350 grams. It is in excellent condition with no keyholing cracks and has obviously been well cared for. It still has the Cymbalsmiths signature on the underside of the bell. The cymbal has a fantastic bell with great stick definition throughout the entire cymbal. You can use it as a accenting crash and then almost immediatly start to ride it for that unmistakable Vintage K sound, all you old K cymbal owners know what I am talking about. The cymbal has great range on the edge or in the middle section. This is a great chance to own a rare unbelievable sounding cymbal. There is a little celebrity touch to this cymbal, apparently on the 2006 Ringo tour, Ringo stopped in to Seattle Washington to check out some equipment and took a dozen or so older cymbals to try on the tour. This particular 18" and another 20" K Istanbul (1900grams) that I still have, were apparently used for the whole two month tour and then returned to the original owner who then sold them to me. No..., they are not signed by Ringo, just a little info or history if you will.... this is what I was informed when I got them from this Pro player in Vancouver. Please check the pictures carefully .This cymbal is sure to please the most discriminating Drummer/Percussionist when adding this gem to their cymbal setup. I will try and download some soundfiles as soon as I figure a way to do it..The buyer will pay $40.00 US Funds shipping and handling by USPS with tracking to the lower 48. The buyer will also assume responsibility for all insurance cost for this Rare cymbal. Here is a quick link to Youtube sound file of the cymbal using just a camera http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=he0_wZrk0i4 Thanks to the fellow ebayer with correct dating of this fine cymbal.
